Overview

The first stage of the divine Word's human life was in Mary's body. For nine months, he whom the heaven of heavens cannot hold was housed, as a real human baby, within his mother's womb. But contemporary Christology has little to say about this period of the life of Jesus. In Redeemer in the Womb, Fr. Author Information

John Saward is a priest of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham. After many years teaching dogmatic theology in England, the United States, and Austria, he is now priest in charge of the parish of Sts. Gregory and Augustine, Oxford. He is the author of several books, including The Beauty of Holiness and the Holiness of Beauty and Cradle of Redeeming Love.
