K-5 What a nice concept! After looking at the table of contents at the beginning of each of these books about color, turn the page to be immersed in the world of that color. First, the reader sees things in our world that are blue, red, and silver and gold. Color families are introduced as the reader sees various shades. The next chapter describes ways that the color is perceived, such as blue is perceived as being sad or cold. In each of the books, children show and tell how they love their favorite colors and use them in their lives. Each book ends with 'Fun Facts' and trivia that children will love to share with their friends. These will be a very bright and colorful addition to the 535 section of your collection. Bibliography. Glossary. Index. Recommended. --Library Media Connection --Journal
