Overview

Linda J. Silberman, Martin Lipton Professor, New York University School of Law Co-operative Efforts in Private International Law on Behalf of Children: The Hague Children's Conventions In this course on the co-operative efforts in private international law on behalf of children, Linda J. Silberman, Martin Lipton Professor at the New York University School of Law, is focusing on three child-centered Conventions that were the result of the Hague Conference on Private International Law: the 1980 Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, the 1993 Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption, and the 1996 Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children.
