Kondraivendhan is currently an associate professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat. He obtained his B.E. (Civil) from Alagappa Chettiyar Government College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi, and M.E. (Structural Engineering) from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi. He was a visiting student at the University of Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom (UK). He also has post-doctoral experience from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His major areas of research interest include rebar corrosion, microstructure modelling, alternative binders in concrete preparation, analysis and design of high-rise buildings and bridges, and repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures. He has published more than 100 papers in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. Dr. C. D. Modhera is currently a professor (HAG) at the Department of Civil Engineering, SVNIT, Surat. He obtained his B.E. (Civil) and M.E. (Structural Engineering) from SVNIT Surat, and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. His major areas of research interest include special concrete and its relevant application in the field, rebar corrosion, alternative binders in concrete preparation, and repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures and earthquake engineering. He has published more than 200 papers in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. He has also previously held the position of chairman of the ICI, Surat centre. He was the former dean (Planning and Development) and head of the Department of Applied Mechanics. He currently holds the dean (Faculty Welfare) portfolio at SVNIT. Dr. Indrajit N. Patel is the principal and professor at Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat. He has significant research, academic, and administrative experience of over 35 years. He obtained a doctorate from SVNIT, Surat, and Master’s in Structural Engineering and B.E. in Civil Engineering from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat. He has extensive teaching experience at different educational levels and in different domains ranging from materials to material science and technology, process to product, and analysis to design. His main areas of expertise include structure mechanics, analysis and design of structures, sustainable material and technology, earthquake engineering, advanced concrete technology, and many more. He has published more than 150 papers in reputed national journals and conference proceedings. Ir. Dr. U. Johnson Alengaram is the director of the Centre for Innovative Construction Technology (CICT), a research centre under the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is listed among the top 2% of the world’s scientists by Stanford University through Elsevier Data Repository. He is also the recipient of outstanding achievement awards in most of the institutions he served. He has been serving as a research fund evaluator of different countries including South American, Asian, and European countries. He obtained his B.E. (Civil) from Madras University, and M.E. (Structural Engineering) from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, and Ph.D. from University Malaya (UM).
