Jasmine H. Francis, MD, is Assistant Attending in the Ophthalmic Oncology Service, Department of Surgery, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York and Adjunct Attending in the Department of Ophthalmology, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, New York. Dr. Francis gained a BA in Neuroscience, magna cum laude, from Columbia University, New York in 2002 and graduated from New York University School of Medicine in 2007. She completed an Ophthalmology Residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in 2011, having been Chief Resident for the final year and receiving the William J. & Judith Turner Outstanding Resident Award. She went on to complete an Ophthalmic Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in August 2013. She is a member of the International Society of Ocular Oncology, the American Academy of Pathology and Ocular Oncology, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Francis has published almost 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals as lead or co-author and presented many papers at national and international conferences.   David H. Abramson, MD, has been Professor of Ophthalmology at Cornell University Medical College, New York, since 2006. He was appointed to this position after being Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the college since 1984. He is Chief of the Ophthalmic Oncology Service, Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, and Attending Surgeon, Department of Surgery, Ophthalmic Oncology Service and Department of Pediatrics, Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases, New York. Dr. Abramson has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology since 1975 and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 1977. He is Vice-President of the Ophthalmic Laser Surgical Society and the Manhattan Ophthalmic Society. Dr. Abramson has been the recipient of many honors and awards, including an AMA Physicians RecognitionAward, the 2004 Mildred Weisenfeld Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology (2008), and the Stallard Medal from Cambridge University, Cambridge, UK. In 2012 he received the John Milton McClean Medal from Weill-Cornell Medical College and the Dominick Purpura Award – Outstanding Alumnus from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is the lead or co-author of 500 peer-reviewed journal articles as well as many other publications.
