Author Information

Charlotte Laws is an award-winning and bestselling writer. She has authored seven books, contributed to four academic anthologies, and written 135 articles that have appeared in various publications, including the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, Salon, Huffington Post, and the New York Daily News. Laws has a Ph.D. in Social Ethics from the University of Southern California, two master's degrees, and two BA degrees. She completed her postdoctoral study at Oxford University, England. Laws was a Greater Valley Glen Councilmember for eight years and currently stars in the Netflix series The Most Hated Man on the Internet. She worked as a pundit on BBC television and the NBC show The Filter. She has appeared on CNN, The Late Show, Fox News, Oprah, Larry King Live, MSNBC, and Nightline, and has been featured in the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Guardian. She is a recipient of the Los Angeles Animal Humanitarian Award and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, her two rescue dogs, and her five rescue hens.
