Author Information

Edward Villaume is a man for all seasons-sportsman, writer, businessman, athlete, actor, philanthropist. From fly-fishing to ice hockey, from the silver screen to the music studio, from corporate board rooms to charitable board rooms, he has led a life of incredible variety and accomplishment. Before he could even spell or write, Edward has been creating stories. His grandmother often spoke of when he was only four years old, Edward would go into the basement of her home, type stories on her 1930s typewriter, and then run to show her the story he'd typed. She would look at the page of scrambled letters and spaces, then ask him to please read it to her. She loved to hear him ""read"" his stories, and he loved reading every story to her, and to his grandfather when he returned from work. His grandparents encouraged Edward to believe in himself and his wonderful mind. Growing up in Minnesota, life in and out of school wasn't easy for Edward. Undiagnosed dyslexia didn't help. But through faith, resilience, and his 'always get up when knocked down' attitude, he has overcome countless obstacles and setbacks throughout his life. He has always been a champion of children's charities and has never seen a problem he didn't want to solve-believing everything is possible, and that there is an answer for every question. He has written and received five U.S. patents, with more on the way. His imagination is never-ending and his problem solving skills are sought-after. Edward has written other novels, poetry, spiritual and philosophical writings, screenplays and short films. After years of coaxing, he is beginning to publish his writings, as well as exploring avenues for the production of his profound short films, each having community charitable endeavors tied to them. Sophisticated yet humble, always ready with a grin and a helping hand, Edward Villaume is a true ""Renaissance Man"", a breed which is increasingly rare.
