OverviewReadyCity Training Program Emergencies are guaranteed. Whether the emergency is a large scale crisis such as a natural disaster or a smaller, personal one such as divorce or loss of a loved one, there WILL be emergencies in your community. Scripture tells us in John 16:33 that we will have trouble in this world. But it doesn't stop there...Jesus encourages us that we can have peace in those times of trouble if we are in Him. Having peace in those times of trouble, and even more importantly, being able to share that peace and hope with others in times of crisis is just as vital to our Christian walk as having the peace in the first place. Those who are in Christ demonstrate the peace and hope of Jesus when emergencies happen. Does this describe your church? Does this describe the larger Christian community in your city? Using this principles and the steps of reconciliation and reconstruction outlined in the Book of Nehemiah, CEN has developed a step by step guide to walk your Christian community through a process of developing Biblical Readiness to be able to share this hope in times of emergency. It's More Than Just Preparedness Spiritual. Emotional. Mental. Physical. These are the four areas that are addressed in the ReadyCity Training. We believe that a human is spirit, soul and body. For complete healing and restoration, all four areas need to be addressed. The Biblical Readiness standard, used as the measuring stick for ReadyCity, incorporates these four areas into the overall preparedness and response process. These areas are also considered in light of city-networking principles. By addressing the challenges and common barriers to working together, the ReadyCity Training will help city leaders move beyond the challenges to effectively working together. The ReadyCity Training also walks you through the various response plans that are commonly used in developing preparedness measures for yourself, your Church, your Business, and your Christian community at large. Some of these plans include: Emergency Operations Plan, Ministry Continuity Plan, Emergency Operations Center Plan, and Emergency Response Plan Full Product DetailsAuthor: Mary Marr , Brett Hutchinson , Pastor Jon McHattonPublisher: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform Imprint: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform Dimensions: Width: 21.60cm , Height: 1.00cm , Length: 27.90cm Weight: 0.422kg ISBN: 9781548044411ISBN 10: 1548044415 Pages: 176 Publication Date: 15 October 2017 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Available To Order ![]() We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationMary Marr, Founder and President of Christian Emergency Network (CEN), was called to establish the CEN ministry after being gripped by the needs within the body of Christ to respond after 911 and after surviving several near death experiences personally. Her background as a successful public school teacher, career education administrator, author of the State of Michigan Guidelines for Career Education, and her experience serving with the staff of a mega-church in Michigan all helped her give guidance to laying the foundation of the national CEN ministry. Since CEN was founded in October 2011, Mary has lead the charge for the Church to be 'aware' of the times; to be 'ready' spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically; and to be 'there' as Christ followers with the Gospel in emergencies large and small. Mary initiated the CEN ministry by working with ten national ministries who understood the urgent need for greater collaboration, education, and communication in biblical readiness and response to crisis within the Christian community. While living in Michigan she was approached to host a one-hour call in Christian radio program Outreach Alert produced by the Family Life Radio Network which later became a nationally syndicated daily radio program heard on over 1000 radio outlets for ten years. Recognizing the urgent need for the Church in these uncertain times to be equipped to self-organize and mobilize locally for such a time as this, Mary authored CEN's three core biblical readiness and response trainings: ReadyChristian, ReadyChurch and ReadyCity. She has also authored Lighting the Way-a 90 Day Guide to Sharing your Faith and has had articles published in Decision magazine, The Lighthouse Devotional, and the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) publications. Rutgers Homeland Security Faith-based Institute invited Mary to present her publication: The State of Christian Security - Gobal and Domestic to law enforcement officials worldwide. In her role as CEN President, Mary is active in the Mission America Coaltion, National Religious Broadcasters, and serves in an ongoing capacity on the Department of Homeland Security HSAC Faith-based Security and Communications Committee.
