Overview

Ava loves to cheer! She loves every jump, every stunt, and every tumble. But when it's time to level up and take the competition floor in a whole new way, fear starts to creep in. With the encouragement of her teammates, the constant support of her parents, and a whole lot of heart, Ava discovers that bravery isn't about being fearless. Author Information

Ava Desiree Austin, age seven, is first and foremost a child of God. She's an amazing daughter, a loyal friend, and a dedicated competitive cheerleader who began cheering at age three. Over the years, Ava mastered foundational moves like the high V, low V, forward roll, and cartwheel, and then she progressed to Level 2 skills, such as back handsprings and back handspring step-out. Ava is now working on Level 3 tumbling. An excellent student on the honor roll, Ava also shines off the mat. She's modeled at New York Fashion Week two years in a row and has enjoyed background acting roles. Well-rounded and endlessly driven, Ava's passion for cheerleading inspired her to share her story in this book. Jessica Austin-Lowery, an accomplished attorney and now author, is most importantly a wife and Ava's mom. Jessica helped guide this book to fruition. She and her husband, Darnell, love Ava with all their hearts.Thank you for reading!
