Author Information

Margaret James, M.Ed (TESOL), is the winner of several awards and accolades including NT Australian of the Year finalist, QUT Faculty of Education outstanding alumni, Courier Mail 50 Brightest and Best. Her tertiary studies have included Montessori education, linguistics, languages, Teaching English as an Additional Language, psychology, choral conducting and voice. In order to develop suitable resources to support the Reading Tracks books, Margaret trials material she produces when visiting schools, and enlists the help of wonderful, keen teachers from all over Australia! Anne Mckeag is a primary school teacher, inspiring educator and dedicated grandmother. Having grown up amongst Indigenous African languages she has always had an empathy and understanding of Indigenous peoples and animals. Anne’s particular interest is in mentoring disadvantaged secondary students and assisting them with their research skills in order to facilitate their access into higher education. Her knowledge of Indigenous game in all parts of the world, combined with her passion for education, were fundamental in providing the information for this book. Her hobbies include game watching and birding, walking in the mountains or along beaches and spending time with her family.
