With a PhD from Rhodes University, his writing appears in a range of academic journals as well as in chapters in various books relating to animals and was co-editor of Animals, Race and Multiculturalism - Contemporary Moral and Political Debates (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018). His research interests include nonhuman animals, discourses, power, critical realism, ethics, genocide, moral disengagement and open education.
