Overview

The Ganapati Atharvashirsha is a collection of 14 verses, and is attributed to the Atharvaveda. It paints a beautiful image of Lord Ganesha to invoke Fearlessness, hence unbridled Success in all ventures and Contentedness, to assure that Life is ultimately Beautiful. oṃ namaste gaṇapataye । tvameva pratyakṣaṃ tattvamasi । tvameva kevalaṃ kartā'si । tvameva kevalaṃ dhartā'si । tvameva kevalaṃ hartā'si । tvameva sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ brahmāsi । tvaṃ sākṣād ātmā'si nityam ॥ 1॥ ----------------------------------------------------------------- Gives Sanskrit verses with change of Visarga/Anusvara at some places for correct enunciation. Gives IAST Latin transliteration. Additionally gives the Devanagari verses with Accents. Clearly explains the method to properly enunciate Visarga, Anusvara and Avagraha, so important for Vedic Recitation. Contains an exhaustive Appendix to highlight some famous notes on Ganesha, the beloved elephant-headed Deity of Indian folklore. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Since the year 2022, the recommendations of the Unicode consortium regarding Devanagari glyphs, Devanagari Extended glyphs, & Vedic Extensions glyphs have been incorporated by font manufacturers and html eBook readers. So we can see and read the special symbols for Ardha Visarga, Anusvara - candrabindu virama, and the Vedic Accents - svarita, dirgha svarita, etc. all correctly in this eBook.
