Overview

Rawhead is a fictional story based on true-life family and events. The family featured in the story indeed lived and worked as tenants on a dairy farm named Rawhead in Cheshire, England. Five of the nine brothers in the family served honorably in World War 1 as members of Her Royal Majesty's Navy and Army. Their ultimate fates described herein are true, as is the history of the war and the great personages named.

Jon Bebbington was born in Morristown, New Jersey, and raised in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA and two master's from the University of Colorado. Early in his career he worked for a nonprofit legal organization and later as an engineer.The author lives in South Carolina with his two rescued dogs Emma and Zeus. His second book, The Battle of Fort Scarlet, was published on August 8, 2023.
