Sara Bertrand vive y trabaja en Santiago de Chile. Estudió Historia y Periodismo en la Universidad Católica de Chile, donde dicta el curso Apreciación estética de los libros juveniles en el diplomado del mismo nombre en la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades. Escribe para Fundación La Fuente y es tallerista del Laboratorio Emilia. Ganó el New Horizons Bologna Ragazzi Award 2017 con La mujer de la guarda (Babel, 2016); fue incluida en White Ravens 2017 con No se lo coma (Hueders, 2016) y premiada por el Banco del libro en 2016 con Cuando los peces se fueron volando (Tragaluz, 2015) y en 2017, con La mujer de la guarda. Ha publicado en Francia, España, Italia, Colombia, México, Ecuador, Brasil, Perú, Bolivia y Venezuela. Ha sido traducida al francés, catalán, italiano y portugués. Sara Bertrand lives and works in Santiago, Chile. She studied History and Journalism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where she teaches the course Aesthetic Appreciation of Youth Books in the diploma program of the same name in the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities. She writes for Fundación La Fuente and is a workshop leader at the Laboratorio Emilia.
