Estudió Historia y Periodismo en la Universidad Católica de Chile, donde dicta el curso Apreciación estética de los libros juveniles en el diplomado del mismo nombre en la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades. Escribe para Fundación La Fuente y es tallerista del Laboratorio Emilia. Ganó el New Horizons Bologna Ragazzi Award 2017 con La mujer de la guarda (Babel, 2016); fue incluida en White Ravens 2017 con No se lo coma (Hueders, 2016) y premiada por el Banco del libro en 2016 con Cuando los peces se fueron volando (Tragaluz, 2015) y en 2017, con La mujer de la guarda. Ha publicado en Francia, España, Italia, Colombia, México, Ecuador, Brasil, Perú, Bolivia y Venezuela. Ha sido traducida al francés, catalán, italiano y portugués.
