His images often incorporate fragments with erotic and mysterious undertones, building narrative meaning through contextualization and surreal juxtaposition.Gibson has studied photography with the United States Navy and at the San Francisco Art Institute. He started his professional career as an assistant to Dorothea Lange and went on to work with Robert Frank.Today his photographs are included in numerous museum collections around the world, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the J.
