OverviewRussia is the birthplace of the Budyonny horse, a breed of horse. It was given that moniker in honor of the great Soviet military figure Marshal Semyon Mikhailovich Budyonny. The Budyonny horse is well-known for its adaptability; in addition to riding and driving, it is also employed for light draft labor.
