PATRICIA QAIYYIM is an award-winning author and a veteran. After retiring from the Air Force, Patricia decided to pursue her passion for writing professionally. Raised in the Military Raised by a Mom Serving in the Armed Forces is the companion book to her first, Moms in the Military Raising a Child While Serving in the Armed Forces, for which she received the 2023 Military Writers Society of America Silver Medal. Her second book, Shrouded in Words A Collection of Poetry, was published in December 2023.Patricia and her husband currently live in Texas; they have three children and two grandchildren. She believes we should all strive to inspire, motivate, and educate others as we move through life.
