About This Book RAIN TO REIGN is a touching, educational and inspiring story about turning stormy events into sun-filled events. I wrote this book to tell a story about a girl who has endured a great multitude of setbacks and yet still found the fight, and the umph to keep going. To give a name to some horrific behaviors and to raise awareness that these things do not just happen to those living in poverty or in the city. The poems at the beginning of the chapters give a slight indication of what topic of Reign's life may be focused on in that chapter. Every chapter tells a story of Reign's life and provides education to help readers gain insight into the distresses that have been depicted in the chapter. Next, there is the healing and growth, which provides exercises/skills to use to help readers manage their own personal struggles. The inspiration and empowerment section encourages self-confidence and self-respect and lastly, there are blank pages (paperback and hardcover only) for the reader to use to reflect on their own thoughts/feelings and this can also be used to journal your own positive quotes to help in your own journey. It is my hope that as you read this book you are inspired, educated, and empowered! My hope is that if there is someone, anyone who has thought what has happened to them defines who they are, I want to say you are so much more than what has been said about you, to you, or done to you. You are not alone. I hope that this book touches you in the way it has touched me to see a girl overcome the dark clouds that hovered over her to become the sun that Reigns over her. This book is not intended to be a substitute for seeking professional help. Speaking with a professional to work through your own struggles is highly encouraged.
