Author Information

Maria Gianferrari and her rescue dog, Maple, play race-and-chase in Massachusetts, rain or shine. She's also the author of these pawsome dog ""tails"": the Penny & Jelly books, Hello Goodbye Dog, Operation Rescue Dog and the forthcoming, To Dogs with Love. Can you tell that Maria loves dogs? Writing Being a Dog helped Maria feel joy again after losing her rescue dog, Becca. You can learn more about Maria at her website, mariagianferrari.com Hannah Salyer resides in Brooklyn, NY, where she writes and illustrates picture books (including Packs: Strength in Numbers), makes pottery, sculpture, and fine art, teaches art classes, and runs a community art space called Underland. Her work is rooted in a deep fascination with ecological systems, how different creatures experience the Anthropocene, and humans' relationship to other species-and how that has changed over time.
