Author Information

Rupert Matthews is an established author of history books, newspaper columns and articles. Rupert has written over 150 published books for adults and for children. Rupert's father, Leonard, served in No.105 Squadron - the Battleaxe Blenheims - of Bomber Command during the Second World War, later transferring to the Air Ministry. Rupert can still recall the first time his father took him to St Clement Danes, home church to the RAF to show him the squadron crest and other RAF memorabilia, and how he recounted his memories of those terrible war days when so many men took off to flying the night skies over the Reich - and of the men who never came back. Rupert now lives in Surrey with his wife and daughter.
