THE ACTIVITY CONCENTRATIONS OF RADIONUCLIDES AND PHYSICHOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS USED AS WATER QUALITY INDICATORS WAS MEASURED IN BOREHOLE, WELL AND STREAM SAMPLES OF OBAFEMI OWODE AND ODEDA AREA OF OGUN STATE, SOUTH WESTERN NIGERIA. THIS WAS ALSO MEASURED FOR THE PALM OIL PRODUCED LOCALLY BY THE LOCAL POPULATION. THE PHYSICOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS INDICATED LOW HYGINIC QUALITY OF THE WATERS CONSUMED BY THE LOCAL POPULATION. HIGH LEVELS OF RADIONUCLIDES WERE ALSO PRESENT BEYOND THE MAXIMUM DAILY INTAKE FOR URANIUM. THE PALM OIL SAMPLES WERE RELATIVELY OK COMPARED TO THEIR WATER COUNTERPART.
