Radio Francis

Overview

In RADIO FRANCIS poet Francis Kirk broadcasts from a dystopian America. His frequency is consciousness. He utilizes the ""cut up"" technique developed by the Dadaists in the 1920s but popularized by William Borroughs in the 1950's. These spare and minimalist poems are fragmented snapshots of a fragmented unconscious society barraged by daily propaganda. They confront the rise of a techno authoritarian surveillance state formed by the unholy trinity of an authoritarian government, tech oligarchs, and Christofascism. His observations take us on a roller coaster of juxtaposed images, metaphors on the surprised descent of modern society into chaos and absurdity. He lifts the veil of delusions with clever wordplay and bracing satire. Take the ride.
