Race, Faith and Politics Today gives a born-again view on race, American culture, Donald Trump's rise and other cutting-edge topics in compiling more than 125 nationally award-winning news columns by Kyle Huckins, a white clergyman in a predominantly black denomination and veteran newsman. Whether bridging the country's growing racial divide, examining politicians' faith or explaining evangelical beliefs, Huckins details the relevant facts and imparts biblical truth. Kyle Huckins is a professional columnist, feature writer, broadcaster, blogger and educator. He's also one of the few Caucasian ordained elders in the Church of God in Christ, a predominantly African-American denomination. Huckins has been a newsman since 1989, winning 20 awards for his work, including several national honors. He has taught journalism at the college level for more than a decade and specialized his research in religion and media, netting three prizes, and his media students have won more than 60 collegiate awards at the national, regional or statewide level. Huckins was ordained in 2003 and has expounded on the Word in churches of more than a dozen different denominations. He holds an earned doctorate in journalism and has completed significant graduate study in theology, teaching both in universities. He serves as chairman of the Commission on the Status of Minorities for the 3,500-member Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, the premier group of media scholars globally.
