He departed Harristown State High School school in 1982 after completing grade 10 (Junior), & then he commenced employment with Queensland Rail (QR) in 1983 as an Apprentice Carriage Trimmer. Post Apprenticeship, he was redeployed by QR to other roles in the form of Messenger/Gopher, Boilermaker's Assistant, & finally as a Clerk. He was declared redundant in 1994 & resigned in frustrated disgust from QR in 1997. Unfortunately, he then descended into mental illness & was diagnosed in 2003 as being Paranoid Schizophrenic.
