All but 2 of the recipes found in this book can be made in under 20 minutes and don't require anything more than the ingredients you would typically find in your cupboard. The idea of quick and easy appetizers came to me after friends of ours dropped in unexpectedly from out of town, and I was scrambling to find something to serve them. With some luncheon meat, cheese and hummus, I was able to fashion a food plate that satisfied their hunger until the takeout arrived.
