Overview"At 47 years old, Martin Parnell wasn't in running shape. Now, 10 years later, he's completed an astonishing 250 marathons in one year, set four Guinness World Records and, in March of 2014, returned from Kilimanjaro after running a marathon and, three days later, summiting the mountain in 21 hours. In 2010 Martin ran 250 marathons and raised $320,000 for the international children's charity Right To Play. At the end of 2014, he completed his ""Quests for Kids"" initiative (detailed in his first book, Marathon Quest), which was designed to see Martin complete 10 extreme sporting quests in five years, raise $1,000,000 for Right To Play, and therefore change the lives of 20,000 of the world's most disadvantaged children. Quests for Kids details Martin's struggle to maintain his level of physical fitness and mental determination in order to complete his goal to help children around the world through the power of sport."
