Pradnya has had an active interest in both Yoga philosophy and practice for many years. she enjoys sharing her love of the discipline with others and conducts yoga asana sessions both at home and at the Gaia House Interfaith Center in her hometown, Carbondale IL. She has been actively involved in various activities at the Gaia House. Trained as a Geographer she has a Ph. D from the Southern Illinois University. She has taught Geography, Environmental Science, and Physics for many years at the college level. An avid quilter her work is frequently exhibited throughout the region. Her commentary on the Yoga Sutras regularly appears on her blog, sutranjali@blogspot.com.
