He serves as the president of the Society for Ethnomusicology and currently conducts field research on drag culture in Israel. William Cheng is an Associate Professor of Music at Dartmouth College. He teaches courses in history, media, ethics, disability, race, and digital games. Working at the crossroads of critical inquiry and public engagement, he advocates for interpersonal care as they heart of academic and activist labors.
