Queering Black Churches provides a systematic approach for dismantling heteronormativity within African American congregations. Brandon Thomas Crowley is an African American minister and a Lecturer in Ministry Studies at Harvard Divinity School. Crowley has served as the senior pastor of the Historic Myrtle Baptist Church in West Newton, Massachusetts, since 2009 and has earned degrees from Harvard University, Boston University, and Morehouse College.
