The title of the research will be A Critical Analysis of the Lay Counseling Training Program of the Chicago Biblical Counseling Center as it applies to the Local Church. From a critical analysis of the lay counseling training program of the Chicago BCC, the research will try to make application to the local Church. In particular, the research will find 'what is an ideal model of 21st century lay counselor?' What characteristics will a lay counselor have for effective ministry? Furthermore, the researcher will find how the local church selects and trains lay counselors.
