Overview

The Qabalah Gates of Light: The Occult Qabalah Reconstructed. This is the story of how and why, the Masters of the Occult misunderstood the Jewish Kabbalah. The book serves many purposes. First off, it is an introduction to the Jewish Kabbalah. Next, it is an introduction to the history of how the Occult Qabalah came to be created out of the Christian Cabalah material. It is also a critique and challenge to the Occult Qabalah's claim to be revealing the meaning of the Jewish Kabbalah and its symbol system of the Sefiroth. Lastly, it is a start to reconstruct the Occult Qabalah material by returning to the Jewish roots of the Kabbalah. Thus bypassing the Christian fabrications and falsehoods that have crept into the existing Occult understanding and exploration of the Sefiroth.

Author Information

Gary M. Jaron is a third generation American, according to the family story his grandparents fled from Czarist Russian controlled territory of what is now Poland. He was born in 1954 to Reform Jewish parents in Levittown New York. At age nine, he had a mystical experience that has helped him to find his way. He graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a BA in Religious Studies and a minor in Jewish Studies. He began work on a MA in Biblical Hebrew which would be a stepping stone to becoming a Reform Rabbi. His lack of ability to memorize vocabulary inevitably ended this career choice since he could not learn the Hebrew language. He graduated from Golden Gate University with a JD and passed the California Bar Exam, though he is now one of many non-practicing attorneys. He currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his Lady, and Basha, the cat who acts as if she actually rules their abode. He is an independent scholar, dilettante and an old school philosopher, reminiscent of Pythagoras and Socrates, a true lover of Wisdom, though he is fascinated with and loves Knowledge of External Reality as well. His own philosophy is a blend of Jamesian Pragmatism, Lao Tzu's Taoism, Korzybski's Non-Aristotelian logic, Pirsig's Quality vision, Frankl's Logotherapy, and Luria's mythic vision of Tikkun Olam. He has a long standing fascination with Occult Magick and the Jewish Kabballah. He has studied with the Reclaiming Wiccan Community and is in an ongoing Circle to this day. His thoughts have begun to coalesce into outward manifestations. In 2012 he published 'What is True and What is Real, Providing the Non-Aristotelian Tools to Orient You' in ETC: A Review of General Semantics. He has given a talk on the topic of the Reconstructed Qabalah at the 2012 PantheaCon. He presented a paper on the Infinite Divine and the Finite human mind, to the Western Regional American Academy of Religion in 2013. Besides working on the Reconstructed Qabalah books, he is working on presenting his own metaphysical orienting Wisdom philosophy in his Find Your Way project.
