Reviews

Qabalah for Wiccans, a book by new author and Witch Jack Chanek, is a fascinating mix of Witchcraft and Qabalah that underlines the many similarities between both magical systems. Both Witches and Qabalists should enjoy it and learn a great deal from each other. It is strongly recommended.--Migene Gonzalez-Wippler, author of The Kabbalah & Magic of Angels, Kabbalah for the Modern World, and Book of Shadows As a Wiccan who uses Qabalah quite a bit, and felt I had a working grasp. Don't let your knowledge of the system sway you from reading this work, because there is so much to be gained. Chanek takes what can be a complex system and makes it approachable, friendly even, to the beginner and skilled alike.--Mortellus, author of Do I Have to Wear Black? This is the book we've all been waiting for. Magical practitioners of all varieties will find it provides a clear and accessible entrypoint and roadmap to the wisdom of the Qabalah. Jack Chanek not only sheds a brilliant light on the interdependent nature of the ten Sephiroth of the Tree of Life, he also brings greater clarity to the energetic dynamics of our everyday magical work. And he does it all in a friendly, inclusive, reassuring way. I'm certain I will be recommending this book for decades to come.--Tess Whitehurst, cohost of Magic Monday Podcast and author of You Are Magical Chanek's book draws you in and holds you close with this helpful and practical tool for modern magick practitioners. You feel as though you're taking a gentle, but deep, walk through the Tree of Life with a kind friend holding your hand. Qabalah for Wiccans is an invaluable resource for deepening one's spiritual journey and will appeal to Pagans wishing to add complexity to both their ritual and personal practice.--Courtney Weber, author of The Morrigan: Celtic Goddess of Magick and Might Now and then a new teacher emerges who will change the face of magical practices for generations to come. Jack Chanek is one such teacher. When books-a-plenty promote nebulous, ungrounded, and unfounded paths toward spiritual learning, along comes Chanek's smart, insightful, and clear-headed approach to the Qabalah meant for all practitioners of Pagan witchcraft. Qabalah for Wiccans provides a systematic, rational, yet engaging application of a complex magical system to well-known Craft practices.--Timothy Roderick, author of Wicca A Year and A Day From page one I was learning not only interesting things about the Qabalah, but historical information about modern Occultism...Chanek's approach to working the Tree of Life is both esoterically smart and deeply profound....This book will take you on an exploratory dance with the Qabalah using language any modern Wiccan can connect with.--Phoenix LeFae, author of What Is Remembered Lives A refreshing and practical text on how the Qabalah can enhance one's spiritual practice. Written especially with Wiccans in mind, author Jack Chanek's text will prove extremely useful to any magical student, regardless of their spiritual path...Qabalah for Wiccans is an insightful text which practitioners will want to keep within easy reach of their sacred space.--Chic Cicero and Sandra Tabatha Cicero, Chief Adepts of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and authors of Golden Dawn Magic If you are new to the Qabalah, Chanek's introduction will help you to understand the sephiroth in a way that is imminently relatable and immediately useful. Even experienced Qabalists will find that Chanek's fresh approach highlights different relationships and teases out subtle meanings hiding in the Tree.--Amy Hale, PhD, author of Ithell Colquhoun: Genius of the Fern Loved Gulley
