Singleton is a man defined by resilience, faith, and a commitment to service. His life's journey is one of rising above challenges and transforming adversity into purpose. A proud Combat Veteran, Curtis served in both the U.S. Army and Army National Guard, where he developed the discipline, courage, and commitment that continue to guide his leadership today. In recognition of his service, he earned numerous distinctions, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Mobilization Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon. In 2006, he was honored with the prestigious Life-Saving Award. In addition to his military service, he dedicated more than 25 years to law enforcement, advancing through the ranks from corrections officer to patrol officer, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Detective, and ultimately Chief of Police. His career has been marked by integrity, humility, and a steadfast devotion to justice and community safety. Curtis's commitment to service extends well beyond the uniform. He currently serves as Chief of Staff for South Carolina's Opioid Crisis Response, as a Monitoring Investigator advocating for individuals with disabilities, and as a board member of both the Midlands Council of Governments and Columbia Area Mental Health. Additionally, as the Voter Registration, Education, and Mobilization (VREM) Chairman for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., he empowers citizens to engage in the democratic process and strengthen their communities. Academically, Curtis holds a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Management, and an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice. Yet his most tremendous pride lies in his family. Alongside his wife, Brittany, he is raising two children-Jackson and Olivia-who embody the values of legacy, faith, and perseverance. Together they live by The Singleton Way: a family creed of perseverance, honor, faith, and service. Through his writing, Curtis offers more than poetry-he shares a living testimony. His work stands as a tribute to Brotherhood, service, and the enduring belief that light, honor, and strength are forged through fire. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
