She cites the late but great Ms. Nikki Giovanni as her biggest poetic influence. It was Giovanni's ""Kidnap Poem"" that made her want to pursue poetry. Mallory was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She has a full, amazing career as an HR Consultant and is excitedly, but bittersweetly, transitioning into a full-time writing and life coaching career. When she's not working (which is basically never), she enjoys traveling, visiting museums, reading, watching documentaries, mid-week twerking with her dog Peanut Butter and occasional bar crawling.
