Purgatory and Heaven

Overview

"What exactly are the joy and happiness of Heaven for the blessed, and what really is the nature of the punishment and sorrow of Purgatory for the Poor Souls? Fr. Arendzen explains in brief form the perennial Catholic teaching about the state of those in Purgatory and in Heaven. This book is destined to make us strive to avoid Purgatory by showing its pains and to aspire to the lofty goal of Heaven by teaching about its fruits. ""Every fibre of our being will thrill at the thought of God, as if, with arms outstretched, we were kneeling before God, imploring and beseeching Him, not in audible words or sighs, but in keen and piercing thoughts, even Him of whom we are deprived."" -Page 22-23"
