Author Information

Johnny Miami embarked on his punk rock journey in 1983 as the Bassist for The Unexpected. In 1984, John spearheaded the formation of the Hardcore/trash band Hogan's Heroes. Their debut LP, Built to Last, launched them into a whirlwind of touring and recording, culminating in the release of three full-length LPs and a limited-edition 7"" vinyl recording. Having agreed to disontinue and dissolve Hogan's Heroes, the band rapidly reformed as Old School 101 (OS101), with John moving from bass guitar to lead guitar. Upon releasing their debut CD EP, OS 101 was signed to Victory Records and subsequently released their debut full-length album, ""United Brotherhood of Scenesters"". John continues to thrive with the ""original 3"" alongside Skip Skool and Tony Detroit Diesel as OS101. John's academic achievements paved the way for his professional success, earning his graphic arts degree in 1991 from the Fashion Institute in Santa Ana, California and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He expanded his entrepreneurial pursuits in 1996 by opening his first sign shop Island Signs in his home state of New Jersey, ultimately leading to the establishment of the Stuck-Up Sticker Company. After divesting his signs shops, John transitioned into a leadership role as Advertising Director for Ocean County, fostering growth and development.
