Diane Guernsey is executive editor of Pulse--voices from the heart of medicine. A former senior editor at Town & Country Magazine, she is a frequent contributor to Consumer Reports on Health. Peter Selwyn is chairman of the Department of Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York.
