Thomas F. Babor is Professor and Chair, Department of Community Medicine and Health Care, University of Connecticut School of Medicine, USA. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs. Kerstin Stenius is guest professor at the Centre for Social Research on Alcohol and Drugs (SoRAD) at Stockholm University, Sweden. Until 2017 she was Editor-in-Chief of the journal Nordisk alkohol- & narkotikatidskrift (Nordic Studies on Alcohol and Drugs) at The Nordic Welfare Centre, Helsinki, Finland. Richard Pates is a consultant clinical psychologist who worked in treatment of addiction problems in the NHS in the UK for 30 years. He now works at a secure children's home. He has been Editor of The Journal of Substance Use for the past 16 years. He holds an honorary post at the University of Worcester.
