New Edition 2025.   'Pub Paddles' is a colourful, inspiring guidebook for every kind of paddler and craft, including paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, sit on tops and inflatables.  The 26 'Best Paddling Trips' were selected by the Rivers Publishing team as easy but interesting, mostly 1-3 hours long, and within an hour or two of London.  They are family-friendly, provide good access, parking, pubs, tea shops, castles, canoe and paddle board hire.  The clear maps and comprehensive details have been updated for this edition to ensure that you have a hassle-free and fun paddle.  Reviewers consistently call this 'a brilliant guide book'. For this edition every trip was re-researched, fully updated and then tested.  The format of the first edition had been much praised so changes have been kept to a minimum and those familiar with 'Pub Paddles' will recognise an old and trusted friend.  There is one exception - a whole brand new trip - one that all the team and testers at Rivers Publishing enjoyed and we hope you will too!  All the trips in this guidebook are well proven and suitable for SUPs, but some are better than others, so as a help to the reader the team have compiled a list of their own favourite 'Best for Paddle Boarding' trips.  Another added feature is a detailed paddling map of the South East of England shown as a two page spread inside the back cover. The author, Peter Knowles is a famous expedition paddler and international guidebook writer.
