OverviewThis is a fiction story concerning something that is far from fiction. The origin of the story concerns a mental issue called PTSD and the horrible dreams that frequent people who have the condition. The story concerns two brothers, one who has PTSD and the other a psychiatrist. The concern for a brother by the psychiatrist culminates in two well-meaning people trying to cure the horrible dreams aspect of PTSD for the brother and other soldiers afflicted with PTSD. The brothers did succeed in curing the PTSD horrible dream situation, but were confronted with a side effect that could eventually affect all of humanity with no way to stop it. In effect, pleasurable dreams beyond belief replaced the horrible dreams and this had far reaching consequences. With the technological advances in the medical and psychiatric fields, along with advances in the technical sciences, the ability to produce dreams in a human brain is inevitable. This story is about dreams, and everyone is familiar with dreams. Some people seldom dream and others dream every time they fall asleep. For those who dream constantly, it's a nuisance and has its downside. But having a few horrible dreams, they must wonder how bad it would be if they had persistent bad dreams. It would be horrible and they would trade those for pleasurable euphoric dreams, regardless of the consequences.
