Reviews

'... written from the heart by a clinician who has struggled on a daily basis on behalf of patients suffering with cancer... full of stories that place a spotlight on what 'caring' should mean, both from a professional and a personal perspective. It is important reading for any health professional who wants to understand the psychology of illness and the psychology of professionals and institutions.' - Georgina Gordon, Journal of Community Nursing 'This is an important book that should be widely read, and that could do much to alleviate human suffering.' - Maria Rhode, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
