Trained at Leuven Catholic University and at Montreal University, he joined the neurosurgery department at the Marseille LaTimone hospital. He has contributed to many clinical research protocols on deep brain stimulation for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorders and participated in a study on cortical stimulation for the treatment of refractory depression.
