OverviewPositive adaptation in stressful situation enhances wellbeing and enable individual to forgive others and situations as well. Present research study was address to find out the role of psychological resilience as a mediating factor between the relationships of forgiveness with psychological well-being. Participants were 160 adults from different institute of Multan through random sampling technique. Brief Resilience Scale (Smith et al., 2008), Heartland Forgiveness Scale (Thompson et al. 2005) and Psychological Well-being Scale (Gough, 1987) were administered to the participants. Statistical analyses of correlation, regression analysis and sobel test were done by SPSS 20. Research findings of correlation indicated that psychological resilience, forgiveness and psychological well-being have significant positive relationship with each other's. Regression analyses showed the significant positive impact of forgiveness on psychological well-being. It also depicted the significant impact of psychological resilience on forgiveness and psychological well-being. Findings of Sobel test revealed that psychological resilience was found a significant mediating predictor between the relationship of forgiveness and psychological well-being. Resilience building programs will be helpful for adults to enhance the tendency of forgiveness that create more happiness abundance and well-being.
