Author Information

Spencer A. Rathus received his Ph.D. from the University at Albany and is on the faculty of The College of New Jersey. His research interests include treatment of obesity and eating disorders, smoking cessation, human growth and development, methods of therapy and sexual dysfunctions. The author of the widely-used ""Rathus Assertiveness Schedule,"" his professional activities include service on the American Psychological Association Task Force on Diversity Issues at the Precollege and Undergraduate Levels of Education in Psychology and on the Advisory Panel, American Psychological Association and Board of Educational Affairs Task Force on Undergraduate Psychology Major Competencies.
