OverviewDavid's heart and love for God led him to write the psalms of the Old Testament. It tells of his victories and defeats during his lifetime, thus drawing him ever closer to God as he wrote each psalm. Reading about David led me to writing my own book of psalms to the Lord, which spanned a period of three years. They describe my high periods and my low periods, my praises to God and my crying to the Lord also. They are psalms for my wife, my children, myself, and others whom the Lord led me to pray for, and then write down in my journal. By writing theses psalms, I have grown ever closer to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope that these psalms encourage people to write their own psalms to the Lord. Perhaps start a psalmist club at church or a home group. It's also just fine to be in a quiet place to write to the Lord. You will be amazed how you are drawn into the same special fellowship with Jesus as David experienced as he cried out or praised God in his own journal. I have also written three short stories. Each has a message of faith, forgiveness, and the understanding of what God has given to us. Also are some poems for all those poets out there-to encourage, strengthen, and enlighten as you travel this road of life, with Jesus alongside you to guide your path. When you read my book, you see into my heart, my life, my walk with the Lord. Perhaps, you also will become a psalmist.
