In 2017, at age 57, Gogs Gagnon, became one of the over 2 million Canadian men diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetimes. After his surgery and recovery, Gogs decided to share his story to inspire others to become their own health advocates. And to learn from his experiences -- what would he have done differently. Author Information

Gogs Gagnon followed an early passion for computers by becoming a programmer and an independent technology consultant. In the course of his career, he has developed software for Apple, IBM, and the government of British Columbia, where he was the lead programmer analyst and data architect.Now retired, Gagnon is a strong community advocate and writer for health-union.com as well as curetoday.com and an executive member of the Prostate Cancer Foundation BC support group. In addition to promoting prostate cancer awareness, Gagnon devotes much of his time to writing. His next book is a coming- of-age memoir set in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia during the 1970s.Gagnon is the father of three adult children and lives with his wife on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
