When discussing Prostate Cancer within the United States, it is important to start with a demographic slice composed of males within the 35 to 79 age bracket. It is those individuals that can be defined as At Risk. According to a 2005 US Census, the total US male population of 146 million contains approximately 69.1 million (or 47.3%) men that fall within the At Risk demographic. With an average US male population growth rate of 1.07% (2000 through 2005), a forecasted 153.9 million males will exist by 2010.
