This book, like a well-trained grenadier with a Panzerfaust, stopped me dead in my tracks. I knew it was going to be good, i didn t know it was going to be like Christmas dinner with all the trimmings good though. If ever a book should light up like a Christmas tree and play O Tannenbaum when you open the cover this should be it. Quality, research, hard work and remarkable photographs throughout this lived up to and beyond ANY expectations I had. For his first book, Nicolas Férard reveals a decade of research on the topic of German reporters and WWII Correspondence, with descendants of members of Propagandakompanien allowing him to build a framework on this subject which is still largely unknown in France.
