In fact, he was a typical engineer with no interest in management during his university years and early career. Just being happy if he could code some new software, fix a bug or design a new circuit board. Every time he was asked to take the lead of a project work he resisted strongly and persistently but it never went as he planned. It was like a strange force dragged him in to the center of the action - the center of the project - the management of the project. Peter realized, reluctantly at first, that he had lost the fight, it was no use resisting any longer and he decided to become a project manager full time. A decision that the last 22 years has taken him all over the world and a decision he never regretted. Besides in his home country Sweden, Peter has lived and worked as project manager, program manager and PMO head in Japan for 7 years, in China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Philippines for a total of 6 years and in Uganda for 1 year. He has also worked in many other countries in North America and Europe for shorter assignments. In November 2014, after 14 years working overseas, Peter decided to move back to Sweden where he now lives with his wife, his spoiled Yorkshire Terrier Eric and a massive wild badger patrolling his garden. He spends most of his time as a management consultant, speaker, coach and author for his own Consulting Company. Peter also likes to play a round of golf or play a few riffs on his Gibson SG - pushing his Marshall amplifier to its limits Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
