Project Sketchbook: Volume 1

Overview

Why do artists keep sketchbooks-and what secrets do these private pages hold? Project Sketchbook Volume 1 opens the door to a world rarely shared with the public: the personal sketchbook pages where ideas are born, risks are taken, and creativity unfolds in its purest form. Inside, you'll discover the work of twenty-six artists from Canada, the United States, and Germany-each sharing the raw beauty of their sketchbook pages alongside reflections on their process, inspiration, and creative journey. This book isn't just for artists. It's for anyone who has ever wondered what creativity looks like on the basic level. Every page invites you to explore-whether through a double-page spread bursting with color, a quick sketch made in a moment of observation, or an experimental collage that redefines what a sketchbook can be. Part exhibition catalogue, part behind-the-scenes peek into the artistic process, and part call to action, Project Sketchbook Volume 1 is a reminder that creativity is for everyone. Be inspired and find the spark to begin your own sketchbook practice.
